Employed Available
Hailing from a family that has lived in Denver for generations, Michele Fry has dedicated nearly two decades to giving back to the Colorado community. Over the years, she has served Colorado residents as a community organizer, political activist, and volunteer. Among other organizations, Michele Fry has mentored at-risk youth in the Denver-area Aurora Central High School and volunteered her expertise with grassroots organizations such as Emerge Colorado.

Most recently, Ms. Fry worked as chief of staff and policy director for Representative Jovan Melton, the deputy majority whip in the Colorado House of Representatives. During her time with Representative Melton, she helped analyze proposed legislation while managing many of the day to day operations of the office. She also regularly attended community meetings, where she interacted with the public and gathered feedback about legislation and other community concerns.

A graduate of the University of Denver and Regis University, Ms. Fry also draws upon extensive community-organizing experience. In addition to previously leading as a regional organizer for the AARP Take a Stand Campaign, she spent nearly two years as a manager of community outreach for Centura Health LINKS, a role in which she coordinated Colorado’s State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) across 17 counties. She currently serves as first vice-chair for the Colorado Stonewall Democrats, a position to which she was elected as a straight ally.
