Dr. Mehrdad Javaherian has extensive experience as an engineer and environmental epidemiologist. His career has focused especially on areas of quantitative assessment as well as the management of the transport, toxicity, and remediation of chemical contamination. As a public health expert Dr. Mehrdad Javaherian has performed or participated in more than 150 toxicological health risk assessments at hazardous waste facilities.
He has additionally held consulting and assessment roles with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) in regards to the potential health risks associated with vapor intrusion. He also works as a technical contributor to Environmental Public Health Today.
Dr. Mehrdad Javaherian is a green associate (GA) possesses LEED certification. He holds further certification as a California Registered Professional Engineer. Over the course of his career, he has published a number of articles and essays. He most recently published a paper on the application of VEG technology during on-site treatment of soil for unrestricted reuse.
