• Became one of the most experienced and trusted members of the trade capture team in a short period of time considering limited financial background showing ability to learn quickly. Regarded as a subject matter expert for the input of trades into the Summit, InvestOne, Calypso and HiPortfolio systems. This led to being given the opportunity to move to London to build a new middle office team from scratch.
• Selected to spend 2 months in Mumbai training the trade capture team on processes and systems following the creation of a new department hub in India.
• Was given the responsibility of testing all new systems resulting in the successful deployment of the department’s first fully automated trade booking system which will eventually be the model for the processing of all client’s trades. During the project performed both UAT and JUAT and had a lot of interaction with the client.

- Products covered – Rates (IRS, OIS, XCCY, BSWP, RPI, LPI), credit (CDS, CDI, CDIT), TRS, Options (FXO, swaptions, EQO, CDIO) plus other structured products.
- Manual trade processing of new OTC derivative transactions made by 3 key clients.
- Exception management of STP systems ensuring smooth trade flow from client FO to BO systems.
- Query management of all derivative related issues ensuring client and BO systems match using ISDA defined confirmations, term sheets and trade bookings.
- Ensure all settlements (coupons, upfront/termination fees, premiums) are confirmed with client and counterparty to be settled on time.
- Daily reporting to internal teams and clients.
- Intra-day reconciliations for OTC derivative positions.
- Trade lifecycle management ensuring coupons, cashflows and resets are matching in all systems.
- Projects and testing of new products, systems and efficiency improvements including business readiness for the EMIR and Dodd-Frank regulations.
- Played key role in merge with another team learning a whole new set of processes and systems while training new team members to use our existing systems and processes maintaining high levels of service to our clients.
