After earning his bachelor of arts in history from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Matthew (Matt) Key entered public education as a teacher assistant with the Clayton County Board of Education in Morrow, Georgia. In addition to instructing high school students in history, he employed the Boy’s Town teaching model to improve student social skills. Matthew Key went on to serve two decades as an upper-elementary social studies teacher at Woodward Academy’s Woodward North campus in Johns Creek, Georgia, where he was often named a student favorite.
While employed at Woodward North, Matthew Key continued his own education, earning his master of science in educational leadership and administration from Capella University. He ultimately graduated with a cumulative grade point average of 3.95.
Since August 2017, Matt Key has served as a sales representative with YHP Publications in Smyrna, Georgia, a publisher of homeowner resources. His responsibilities include prospecting clients and delivering sales presentations.
