As the managing director of Servco Pacific Capital, LLC (SPC), Matthew Janopaul leads the company’s private equity and corporate development efforts in the US and Asia, developing investment strategies and establishing a deal team in the San Francisco office. With over 15 years’ experience in identifying investment opportunities that drive operational growth and profitability, Matthew Janopaul applied his strong skills in negotiation to source and close the first acquisition of Perth Harley-Davidson, the largest single dealership in the Southern Hemisphere.
Mr. Janopaul also serves as an advisor to the co-chairman of Fender Musical Instruments Corp. There he helped facilitate Servco’s 2012 purchase of Fender, which resulted in gross MOI of 2.5x for Weston Presidio, the prior lead investor. Before joining SPC in 2012, Mr. Janopaul also served as an advisor to the co-founders of Spectrum Settlement Recovery, playing a crucial role in developing partnerships and driving initiatives to maximize shareholders' value.
Until joining Fender Musical Instruments as President & Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Janopaul held the position of general partner at Weston Presidio, a leading private equity firm, where he was actively involved in management buyouts, recapitalizations, and growth financing efforts across different sectors.
