Mary Gregor, a real estate investor and the trustee of Meadows and Mountains Trust, is an active supporter of environmental conservation. Also the manager of the Meadows and Mountains Trust, Mary Gregor has organized and sent out easement gifts from the trust to the Forest Society of Maine.
In addition, she sold more than 500 acres of coastal property to Maine Coast Heritage Trust at a price below market value to prevent the development of valuable environmental properties in the forest and coastal areas of the state.
Ms. Gregor was raised on a potato farm and worked there throughout her high school years. She later attended a local university and graduated with a degree in plant and soil sciences.
In 2008, the previously mentioned Forest Society presented Ms. Gregor a plaque of appreciation for an easement on the valuable lakefront property in Oakfield. She is a member of the foundation of the Houlton Regional Hospital, and she regularly makes donations to other local charities, including the food pantry and the children’s theater.
