As the owner and manager of MCH Floral Studio on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, Mary Catesby Halsey provides a range of floral services with a specific focus on xeriscaping (landscaping/gardening with an emphasis on limiting water consumption) in the urban environment. To accommodate clients who want to establish green spaces in the heart of the city, Mary Catesby Halsey completes custom orders to create living walls and rooftop gardens. She also helps clients who want to install window box vegetation or establish other forms of container gardens.
Before assuming her leadership role with MCH in 2018, she co-owned and operated Spruce Flowers in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood. She has also served as the shop manager of Hudson River Flowers and worked for Banchet Flowers, Ovando Flowers, and Chelsea Flower and Garden Design.
When she is not busy in the flower shop, Ms. Halsey sings in a couple of regional classical chorale groups. She is also a member of the Parkinson’s disease support group Project Hope.
