Mark Thek serves as president of Esterline Power Systems, a manufacturer of aerospace and industrial technology based in Los Angeles, California. His responsibilities include designing products such as power distribution systems and overseeing operations of the company’s international facilities. Mark Thek has garnered two US patents for his solenoid isolative coating development and his radioactive electron driven multipactor device.
Mr. Thek previously led the engineering team at Hughes Aircraft Company, also located in Los Angeles. As one of the organization’s leading physicists, he developed new radar systems for the F-14, F-15, and F-18 fighter plane models of the US military.
In preparation for his career, Mark Thek earned a bachelor’s degree with emphases in physics and mathematics at Cornell University. During his undergraduate studies, he conducted research on high-energy pulsed lasers, as well as electron-positron collision. He furthered his education by completing an MS in physics at the University of California, Los Angeles.
