After serving as a sergeant in the United States Army, Mark Rymer earned a bachelor's degree in information systems and operations management from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). Upon completion of his degree, he began working as an Electronic Data Interchange consultant with Volvo IT. Mark Rymer later worked as a programmer with AON Consulting and, from 2005 to 2007, served as a security specialist responsible for application support with Volvo Financial Services.
In this capacity, Mark Rymer interacted with vendors, external help desks, and IT peers to assist with problem resolution and maintenance tasks. He also regularly participated in IT projects for the purpose of implementing new business solutions.
Following two years as a web developer with Bank of America, Mr. Rymer joined the High Point, North Carolina-based Cooper and Cockerham as vice president responsible for web development. His primary responsibilities include developing applications via Visual Studio for clients across diverse industries, as well as creating object-oriented database structures and functions to support the needs of the firm's clients. While working with Cooper and Cockerham, he earned a master's degree in information technology management from UNCG.
