Dr. Mark J. Holterman is professor of surgery and pediatrics at University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria, Illinois. Dr. Mark J. Holterman also owns an Illinois State license, National Practitioner Identification, General Surgery Board Certificate and Pediatric Surgery Board Certificate.
A Yale University graduate, Mark J Holterman MD received a National Merit Scholar in 1980. He was involved with the NIH Medical Scientist Program until 1988. His research interests are autoimmunity, novel cancer therapies, obesity, and regenerative medicine and stem cell therapies.
Dr. Holterman serves the Pacific Association of Pediatric Surgeons and American Association of Pediatric Surgery. He has made 22 national and regional presentations, and 15 international presentations. He serves as a reviewer for Journal of Immunology, Journal of Pediatric Surgery and Journal of Clinical Anatomy. He is also the author of 52 peer-reviewed articles and eight non-peer reviewed articles.
