An experienced business executive with a bachelor of science/bachelor of arts in marketing from the University of Arizona, Mark Besh has substantial experience in the financial services field. As an executive vice president with Pacific Income Advisors from 1994 to 2003, he helped expand the firm’s assets under management from $1.3 billion to more than $5 billion. Mark Besh entered the health care industry in 1985, when he joined CIGNA Health Plans as a Director of Marketing. During his tenure at Cigna, he lead several turnaround of sales organization and was a key member of the leadership team which launched a start up IPA in Phoenix. Besh later joined the executive team at Schaller Anderson, a health care provider. After developing and executing Schaller Anderson’s go-to-market strategy, he spearheaded a variety of administrative and governmental affairs initiatives that built the company into a nationally recognized manager of Medicaid and commercial, self-funded health plans.
Mark Besh left Schaller Anderson in 2008, after the sale to Aetna, in order to lead organizational growth and strategic development at iHealth Technologies as an executive vice president. Mr. Besh remained with this firm after its 2016 sale to Cotiviti Healthcare and currently serves Cotiviti as a senior vice president in charge of new business sales.
