  • Responsible for all aspects of an entrepreneurial startup company. Developed several patented web-based, interactive and globally scalable process that delivers customized health and fitness programs. The product is a customized conditioning program that is automated based upon an individual’s goals, strength, flexibility and medical history. Program types range from sport-specific fitness conditioning programs to diagnostic-specific rehabilitative exercise programs. The programs are research based and outcomes are measured. Developed flexible communication plans to maximize the applications of the patents. Led negotiations with one of the largest Medicare providers to implement the programs with their customers. Additionally participated in a grant proposal from the DOD for $22.5M for which the license of this technology is the central gear.

  • Strategically led, developed and launched a global online continuing education and training company for licensed professionals in 101 countries. The technology is being heralded as the ‘first Web 2.0 educational experience’. The platform promotes the first evidence based online learning environment with a pre-test and a post-test system which measures the learning. Rewarded faculty for amount of student learning. Technology also measures customer satisfaction. Developed internet marketing strategies to include partners in professional and commercial, global and national arenas. Crafted an internet marketing strategy to rapidly ramp membership. Developed market-specific and generational specific, communications and marketing plans.   • Developed the research program for Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic and for Centinela Hospital physicians. Worked across multiple teams in a matrix organization. Trained eight Sports Medicine Fellows (Orthopaedic Surgery) a year. Hired, trained and supervised therapists, researchers, engineers, managerial staff, medical writers and technical support personnel. Responsible for project management of multiple projects simultaneously. Consistently delivered projects on schedule. Published three books (in English, Japanese and Korean) and more than 100 scientific articles. Lectured internationally (US, Japan, Europe, New Zealand, Australia and Canada) at key scientific congresses and meetings. Recipient of three national research awards. Recipient of a 5-year longitudinal epidemiological cohort research award from Major League Baseball to study the history of injuries and impact of risk factors. Initiated and/or facilitated promotional and public relations activities which resulted in 15 major media spots in one year alone.
