I participated in an "Ironman Creativity contest" in Taiwan twice (2007 & 2009) when I was in high school! It was a crazy adventure. I try to seize such unexpected opportunities, especially when it leads me abroad to discover new cultures and ways of life. That's how I went to New-Caledonia (where my mother was born), South Africa (to research concentration camps in 1900-02), Benin (for a humanitarian mission), Albania (in the mountains on horse back)... I also tend to get involved in many societies and projects, often organizing events (conferences, horse jumping contest, probono marathon, theater evening...).
First year at "La Sorbonne" in Paris, second year at King's College London (Erasmus exchange).
2 master theses about health in concentration camps in South Africa during the Anglo-Boer war: one in English (130 pages) and one in French (240 pages including translation of capital sources)
1 research trip in South Africa: 4 weeks, 1500 km, and a dozen of archives centers, libraries and museums visited.
