A recent sociology graduate holding highest honors, Maral Cavner earned her bachelor of arts at Emory University. Throughout much of her time at the Atlanta institution, she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi (ADPi) sorority’s Delta Alpha Chapter. Her leadership responsibilities included positions as the Alumni Relations chair and the Public Relations chair. Maral Cavner also led ADPi Pride activities and provided regular updates published in the national periodical The Adelphean. Her other ADPi duties included fostering relationships with Emory alumni in the local area and helping graduating sorority members transition to alumna status.
Ms. Cavner’s diverse volunteer activities over the years include a spring 2010 position as elementary school tutor with the Atlanta International School. In this capacity, she collaborated with teachers in creating lesson plans and leading classes. She also engaged with small groups of students. Maral Cavner has played trumpet for more than a decade and is a former member of Emory University Club Tennis team
