Dr. Luu D. Ireland has spent nearly four years as a generalist obstetrician, gynecologist, and family planning specialist with UMass Memorial Medical Center and as an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. In this role she practices various aspects of prenatal care, as well as labor and delivery care during traditional deliveries and cesarean sections. Prior to assuming this position, Dr. Luu D. Ireland functioned as a family planning fellow at the David Geffen School of Medicine.

Dr. Ireland also received her medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. During her time as a medical student she achieved membership with Alpha Omega Alpha, a medical honor society, and was awarded the Jim Slotnick Fellowship in Medicine. She made numerous poster and oral presentations prior to graduation, including presentations for the American Public Health Association and at the Fourteenth Annual Maternal Child Health Epidemiology Conference.
