Lukas Politis is a Gael Scholarship recipient who is currently attending Iona College in New York in pursuit of a bachelor's degree in mass communications. This program includes courses, such as Digital Literacy and Practice, Media Law and Ethics, and Writing for the Screen. In addition, Lukas Politis is a participant in the program's Multimedia Digital Lab and Radio Studio.
Through his involvement with the Zeta Kappa Chi fraternity, Lukas Politis contributes to several fund-raising events on campus, including Relay for Life and The Tough Mudder, both of which raise money for cancer research. He has also volunteered for car wash and haunted house fundraisers in support of the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. His passion for philanthropy extends to his involvement with the Chance Cosgrove Foundation, through which he has volunteered for annual events in support of the St. Baldrick's Foundation, Make-A-Wish, and Rockland Hospice. In addition he volunteered for Dowie Corp. which raises money for Sunrise Day Camp, which supports children with cancer.
Mr. Politis' work experience includes serving as a busser at Emmet's Castle during high school and working as a building maintenance assistant and driver's assistant in the summers between college semesters.
