As an accomplished scholar and professional in business economics, Ludovic Comeau, Jr., has contributed broadly to international economic policy and growth. He began his career in his native Haiti, where he earned a law degree and bachelor's degree in business administration. Simultaneously involved in serving his alma mater, the Saint-Martial Minor Seminary and Primary-Secondary School, Ludovic Comeau, Jr., facilitated academic growth as a school board member, French Department chair, and director of studies for the middle and high schools.
Ludovic Comeau, Jr., remained in public service as director of human resources for the Minister of Education, Youth, and Sports, and later as a consultant for the same organization. He then traveled to the United States to complete a master of business administration and a subsequent doctor of philosophy in business economics, concentrating on economic development and international trade. Upon his return to Haiti, he accepted a consultantcy and later played a role as director of economic analysis at the Bank of the Republic of Haiti.
Over the course of three years, Ludovic Comeau, Jr., conducted and interpreted research that influenced economic policy development at the national and international levels. He has since returned to the United States as a faculty member at DePaul University, where he conducts research into the intersection between sociopolitical activity and economic policy. Also as a key player in the Group for Reflection and Action for a New Haiti (GRAHN), he has contributed to events and programs that support diaspora contribution in Haitian economic development.
