CLS Interiors owner Laurette Shaw started her interior design career with Savannah, Georgia-based Phillips Incorporated. There, she helped design new homes for a residential resort community on Skidaway Island and traveled to furniture markets to source items for the company’s furniture showroom. Subsequently, Laurette Shaw spent several years with Interior Design Atlanta and focused her work on assisting builders and clients with developing the initial layout and finalize interior design for new homes in the northern suburbs of Atlanta.
Working independently since 2004, Laurette Shaw has undertaken design projects in several states, including current work on resort renovations in Alys Beach, Florida. In collaboration with J. Davis Architects, she has been closely involved in upgrading the Yards at NoDa apartment homes in Charlotte, North Carolina. She also partners with her husband on real estate investments, such as the acquisition of Wingover Ranch, a lodge in Keokuk, Iowa. She helped redesign Wingover Ranch as a multipurpose venue for events ranging from weddings to hunting expeditions.
Among her philanthropic activities, Ms. Shaw contributes to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Also, to support the equestrian team at the Savannah College of Art and Design, she and her husband donated 100 acres of land for a covered riding pavilion now dedicated in their name.
Widely traveled, Laurette Shaw has visited both domestic and international destinations. She enjoys taking time on her trips to shop for antiques, frequent museums and art galleries, sample the local cuisine, and attend wine tastings.
