A former Portland Trailblazer cheerleader and employee of Varsity Spirit Corporation, Kristin Kinkel began instructing her fellow cheerleaders and serving as an official cheerleading judge before entering college. While studying at both the University of Oregon in Eugene and Hawaii Pacific University (HPU) in Honolulu, Kristin Kinkel continued to organize Varsity Spirit camps and clinics, judge domestic and international competitions, and travel internationally for workshops and other opportunities to educate.
After earning her bachelor of arts from HPU, Ms. Kinkel served tenures as an English as a Second Language (ESL) instructor with ESL Master in Honolulu and a bilingual educational assistant with the Hillsboro School District in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Outside of the professional environment, Kristin Kinkel is an avid skier and sailor. She also loves to dance and particularly enjoys the music of Pink Martini, a Portland band that incorporates elements of jazz and classical music.
