- o Lead Process Engineer: Formalized complete Inquiry & Executed process engineering work on a Project/ Proposal as per client requirements, in a timely, technically optimum manner to meet overall Project/proposal objectives. Took lead in liaising with all disciplines from project inception till completion, Modelling Detail Design Execution Commissioning Perf. Testing.
o Spearheaded Company’s complete Design collaboration with:
- Vogt Power International. USA (subsidiary of Babcock Power) for its licensed HRSGs.
- Jinan Boilers China for design of Catalytic Fluidized Bed (CFB) unit’s i.e. technology designed for solid fuels (coal, biomass etc.).
o Mentor the work of Design department incl. (6 Design Engineers, 6 Proposal Engineers, 2 Drafters). Remodeled performance reviews & staff assignments. Prepared manpower forecasting, budget requests & administer dept. budget in assigned areas of responsibility.
o Developed long & short term master strategic plans, proposals & synergy studies in order to identify company’s growth opportunities & enhance profitability margins. Ensured HSE aspects & technology advancement are accounted for during project phase.
o Represented design team in meetings with clients, consultant engineers, 3rd party agencies & other technical groups. Prepared, Organized & presented both Technical / Marketing related presentations for various stake holders/ clients/ Conferences / Trainings.
o Produced design basis & criteria. Developed, Reviewed, Approved & Implement Engineering standards & technical procedures.
o Performed/ Reviewed process design work, incl. Thermal/ hydraulic calculations, H&M balance, equipment sizing & selection, performance evaluation etc. Develop & check line lists, PFDs, P&IDs, drawings, piping isometrics, Cause & Effect diagrams. Prepare / Review, pre commissioning / commissioning manuals, operation & maintenance manuals (O&M), HAZOP notes / plans etc.
o Prepared equipment’s data/ Spec sheets i.e. Heat Exchangers, Pumps, Valves, LGs, dampers, silencers, Fans, traps, Instruments etc.
o Negotiated Vendors on their submitted quotations & gauging vendor (data, drawings, manuals) for compliance with specifications.
o Conducted Client’s Operational / Technical Training sessions. Worked on variety of Design, simulation, vendor related software’s.
Additionally COMMISSIONED :
o 225 MW CCPP - HRSG (125T/hr. 100barg, 546C) for Halmore Bhikki Power Co (UK)
o HRSG (46 T/hr. 42 Barg, 380C) for Dawood Hercules Fertilizer Ltd Pakistan.
Special Assignment as Business Development Manager:
Visited multiple Libyan Oil & Gas sector industries, as Company’s first ever representative in that region. Was successful in generating new & multiple business inquiries (proposals) during the first visit.
