- ARL Up-gradation Project ($251 million): Existing Refinery capacity increase & enabling it to produce Euro II complaint low Sulfur Diesel.
New Units: Diesel Hydro Desulfurization (DHDS), Naphtha Isomerization (ISOM), Preflash & Power Plant. Auxiliary units: Amine (AMU), Sour Water (SWS), Hydrogen (HYU), Sulfur Recovery (SRU). Utility systems: Boilers, Cooling water, Fuel oil, Inst. Air, Flare System, WHR.
o Throughout the Refinery Up Gradation project, succeeded in providing complete Process / Project Engineering support to the Corporation in ALL above mentioned process areas/ units, during complete project lifecycle
(Scope of work FEED Study Detailed Engineering Construction Q.A/Q.C Commissioning Performance Testing).
o Manage project related queries from all stake holders, Contractor (Hyundai Engineering), Subcontractors & Licensor (UOP).
o Strengthen Owner side interests with respect to the operability & maintainability of new refinery units in close liaison with other refinery departments including Operations, Engineering, IT, Maintenance, Quality Assurance & HSE sections.
o Lead Owner’s team during complete Pre Commissioning / Commissioning activities of all units by contractor (HEC). And ensure that commissioning, performance testing & final handover takes place in an acceptable way to the owner.
o Demonstrated to be the single point of contact for all contractor/ sub contractor project disciplines, including: Process/ Civil/ Mechanical/ E&I/ Commissioning/ Project control / HSE teams for solving their daily / technical inquires.
o Review & Comment all contractors submitted documents/ Procedures incl. Pre commissioning, Commissioning, Start-up procedures, technical scope, design base narratives, P&IDs, PFDs, Piping Isometrics, Equipment specifications /drawings, etc. Also provide support on design matters during detailed engineering & commissioning stage in order to ensure, they meet contractual obligations.
o Chairs regular in-house meetings with other project/contractor reps as required. Proactively identify /follow up highlighted issues & lead efforts to resolve them. Monitor & reports project schedule, cost status & time constraints for project timely completion.
o Administer complete construction work Quality & Accuracy at site & regularly participate during predefined inspections.
o Prepare Reports, Flow diagrams, Technical Presentations & charts. Along with managing changes in work scope. Monitor/evaluate equipment performances, troubleshoot equipment problems, collect & maintain data records to ensure control & tractability,
o Assuming responsibility for performing continual Risk Assessment, hazard analysis (PHA) / HAZOP studies & ensuring proper HSE protocols as per company policy are met at site. Provide lead role in energy improvement initiatives & environmental monitoring.
o Evaluate & enhances company’s complex production processes in order to maximize efficiency, minimize waste / costs & improve outputs at company level. Review plant change requests (PCR) to provide technical inputs & generate ideas for unit optimization.
o Ensuring implementation & compliance to Company’s Policies, procedures & Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) initiatives.
o Maintain knowledge of developments in refinery technologies, as to identify savings/improvement opportunities & solve technical & resource-limitation problems for deriving maximum benefits. Hands on experience on various process simulation tools.
