Kate Merli

Leveraging a decade of experience in financial accounting, Kate Merli has held chief financial officer responsibilities with New 2nd Capital since May 2018. A respected presence in the New York investment community, Kate Merli oversees the full spectrum of transactions with third party vendors and ensures that budget reporting requirements are met. She also has oversight of payroll and benefits administrator transactions, and undertakes quarterly and annual reviews and audits.

Earning her accounting degree at Bentley University’s McCallum Graduate School of Business in Massachusetts, Ms. Merli gained recognition through a standout team performance in the KPMG National Audit Case Competition. She joined KPMG in Boston as lead senior associate in 2008 and took on an asset management industry role overseeing five major financial statement audit engagements.

Ms. Merli maintains a strong community presence and supports women and families in need through New York Junior League volunteer activities. Among Kate Merli’s favorite pastimes are travelling and hiking, and she is a fan of New England Patriots football.
