A career educator, Karl Kandt has specialized in advising students on matters ranging from their academic careers and degrees to their professional aspirations and employment goals. Throughout his career, Karl Kandt has worked with students at the university level to plan out the courses and majors they need to pursue in order to lay the foundations for their life’s work, as well as advising them about scholarships and internships.
From 2005 to 2012, Kandt held the position of assistant director in the career and employment services department at Kansas State University. Prior to joining Kansas State University, he also held a position as an academic coordinator in Wichita State University's athletics department, advising student-athletes on curriculum and monitoring their academic progress.
Passionate about promoting education, Karl Eric Kandt supports organizations such as Operation Breakthrough. Through advocacy, referral programs, and emergency aid services, the organization aims to provide early-education opportunities to children and families living in poverty. As a supporter, Kandt completed a 5K marathon race that raised funds for the organization's yearly efforts.
Recently, Kandt returned to rural Herrington, Kansas, where he enjoys ranching and farming with this family.
