With a master's in counseling, Kandi Derry Digiovanni functions as a care coordinator with the National Council of Alcoholism and Drug Dependence in New Jersey. Kandi Derry Digiovanni primarily serves as an advocate for clients while also making sure that their needs are met so that they can achieve mental wellness, maintain good physical health, and become self-sufficient.
Ms. Digiovanni also conducts substance abuse assessments using the Addiction Severity Index, which incorporates a Child Safety Evaluator and an Immediate Need Profile. She also monitors and manages clients' treatment needs to ensure and modify the level of care for their treatment, and represents the clients before the Board of Social Services.
Kandi Derry Digiovanni studied counseling at Kean University in Union, New Jersey, during which time she completed a counseling internship with Journey to Wellness. She gained valuable experience in conducting intake assessments, as well as individual and group counseling sessions. Previously, she served as an athletic trainer at Kean University. She holds a bachelor of science in athletic training.
