- I am currently working for the Irish government as an End User Computing Technical lead, leading a team of 6, this role can be defined by the following points:
- Responsible for the technical governance of the overall 6,500 users EUC platform,
- Develop the technology roadmap and define target and transitional architecture,
- Solution design for current and new projects leveraging our two data centres in an active/active design,
- Responsible for validating and overseeing the technical implementation of the projects,
- Implement products, features and process to deliver a secure virtual desktop,
- Provide leadership and guidance on critical issues or long term issues that have high impact on the business,
- Provide leadership and guidance on complex operational tasks like, disaster recovery simulations, major upgrades or critical changes.
Recent projects:
- Upgrade XenApp 6.5 to XenDesktop 7.15
- Upgrade Office 2010 to Office 365
- NetScaler Secure Unified Gateway with OTP for remote access
The main technologies used are:
- Citrix XenApp 6.5, XenDesktop 7.15
