An introduction to the built environment, this course has Training Programme Approval by the South African Institute of Draughting (SAID).
Skills taught are technical drawing (layout and orthographic projection), basic understanding of construction methods, properties of material use within the built environment, national building regulations, basic design concept development and application, project management skills (task management, client management, milestone tracking, contingency planning), visual representation in 2D and 3D and communication with team members using project plans or specifications.
This course is a part-programme of Inscape's HEQC accredited Bachelor of Design Programme.
