Judge John Bowman has served as a circuit judge in the state of Florida since 2002. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1988 and is “AV-rated” by Martinadle-Hubble. In addition, Judge John Bowman has served as an associate judge in the Florida Fourth District Court of Appeal and worked in private practice before becoming a judge.
Bowman is responsible for securing technology that tracks family cases across multiple divisions and has held oversight for training new judges in the dependency division. He was the judicial representative for the Broward County Bar Association in 2009 and for the One Community Partnership, a project coordinating mental health services in Broward County. He earned his undergraduate degree in public administration from Florida Atlantic University, where he was a Phi Theta Kappa scholar. He attained his JD from St. Thomas University, where he was chosen for the State Moot Court Team.
