Since 2002, Josh Gibson, MD, has owned and operated a private psychiatric practice in San Francisco. There, he provides a variety of psychotherapy and psychopharmacology treatments to his patients. Additionally, Josh Gibson, MD, assists professionals and employers with developing leadership strategies and determining the mental fitness of prospective hires.
In addition to his responsibilities at his practice, Dr. Gibson serves as an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco. In this role, his responsibilities include conducting seminars for medical students and overseeing psychotherapy cases of residents.
Away from his professional duties, Josh Gibson, MD, enjoys reading and authoring fiction. In his writing, he draws on the influence of such authors as Dave Eggers and George Saunders. Also a fan of professional basketball, he avidly supports the Golden State Warriors. A theater connoisseur, too, he counts as his favorite production Next to Normal, a musical that explores psychiatric topics.
