Jorge Antonio Sonville is a managing partner at Savile Capital Group, where he provides best-in-class custodial services tailored to the specific needs of family clients. Jorge began his career with Merrill Lynch in New York. During his twenty-seven years with the firm, ultimately as senior vice president, he started the New York International Group to manage global families’ estates and help them navigate financial markets to preserve and grow their wealth.
In 2003, Jorge moved to Miami to expand the group’s presence and serve clients throughout South Florida and Latin America. The twelve-person team grew assets under management to $2.1 billion.
After the covid pandemic of 2020, Jorge founded F1 Global Advisors, where he could take an independent approach and serve clients with an open architecture, an arrangement that offers clients significant benefits. A year later, he joined Savile Capital Group, where he was able to take a similar approach.
Jorge was born in Lima, Peru, the son of Cuban-American parents, and spent his childhood in Peru, Ecuador, Chile, and then Lisbon, Portugal. He attended high school at the American International School of Lisbon, and college at Boston University, where he majored in business administration with a concentration in finance, graduating in 1994.
Jorge is married and has three children. When not working, he enjoys playing tennis and golf, along with boating.
