Jon Sundt

The founder and chief visionary officer of the Natural High organization, Jon Sundt works to help young people find the passions that keep them away from substances. He operates on the philosophy that a purpose and a drive to succeed can provide young people with the motivation to say no to the influence of drugs and alcohol at a time when their developing brains make it difficult to say no for logical reasons. Jon Sundt understands that teenagers respond to social norms and to the messages they receive from mainstream media, and he uses this knowledge to seek out celebrity ambassadors and peer group messengers. He then encourages these ambassadors to tell children that substance use is not an inevitable norm, and that greater satisfaction comes from following a passion.

Jon Sundt balances these responsibilities with leadership as chairman of Altegris, an alternative investment group he founded. Honored as the 2012 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Mr. Sundt also stands out as the 2013 Pioneer of the Investment Industry, an honor presented by the California Housing Finance Agency, the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Society of San Diego, and the Southern California chapter of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association.
