John Klein serves as the chairman of Cambridge Therapeutics, a pharmaceutical company active in innovative drug delivery systems, prescription dispensing, and combination therapies. He comes to this role having founded and led Dava Pharmaceutical Company, a manufacturer and distributor of prescription medications. While establishing Dava in 2005, John Klein was also serving as the lead independent director of Kindred Healthcare.
Mr. Klein has held leadership positions in the health care industry for 30 years, having entered it as the president and CEO of Zenith Laboratories in 1988. There, he increased revenues from $34 million to $250 million and earned Business Week’s Corporate Turnaround of the Year Award.
Mr. Klein earned Bronze Standing from Wall Street Transcripts in recognition of his success in increasing company value. Additionally, he ranked No. 11 on Forbes magazine’s Top 100 CEOs list and received the Outstanding CEO Award from Mitchell and Company. Recognized for his keen strategic acumen, he has served as a consultant to Harvard Business School on three case studies and advised Knowledge Consultants on improving research and development investments.
