An independent consultant headquartered in Miamisburg, Ohio, John (J.R.) Carlisle has a long history in grade school and high school creative and performing arts education. After earning his bachelor in music education from Marshall University, he embarked on a 13-year career as an instrumental and vocal music teacher and coordinator. Subsequently, John Carlisle returned to the academic setting in the early 1990s to pursue a master of education leadership at West Virginia University in Morgantown. He then went on to earn a second master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in organizational leadership from Ashford University in Clinton, Iowa.
Before founding his consulting firm, John Carlisle served as a principal with the public school districts of Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio. He is currently attending Phoenix, Arizona’s Grand Canyon University, where he is working toward a doctor of education in organizational leadership. Over the years, Mr. Carlisle has also garnered more than 24 hours of continuing graduate education credit at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.
