Since assuming leadership of the company in 2008, he has been recognized with honors like the Circle of Excellence Award from SmartCEO Magazine and the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Under Joe Cosgrove's direction, Pentec Health has been named as the Life Sciences Company of the Year by the Greater Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies (PACT). It has also secured a place on the Inc. 500 and Philadelphia 100 lists, and earned Gold Seal of Approval accreditation from the Joint Commission for Specialty Infusion and Renal Nutritional Home Care Services.
Mr. Cosgrove brings more than a decade of executive experience in the pharmaceuticals industry to his current role. As a former vice president and general manager of nuclear pharmacy services with Cardinal Health Incorporated, he developed a profit-oriented business plan that resulted in a 34 percent improvement in earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT). Previously, he served as executive director of Cardinal's corporate accounts and trade development. In this role, he realigned business units and facilitated the introduction of a new product to the industry. With a bachelor of science in business administration and experience with such industry-leading companies as DuPont Pharmaceuticals, he continues to promote the expansion of Pentec's product lines.
