Possessing a diverse skill set and a depth of knowledge in multiple fields, Jerry W. Burns has made a name for himself as an author, painter, and business leader. He has published three books that integrate theological exploration with essay and memoir, having engaged in the focused study of religion, philosophy, and science over the past several years. Jerry W. Burns has become particularly well-known for his knowledge of the life and writings of C.S. Lewis, author of the Narnia series.

A graduate of the psychology program at Abilene Christian University, Jerry W. Burns went on to serve as an advisory board member for a Christian university in Tennessee. He has also produced a 15-minute radio program, which presented spiritual and inspirational offerings on a daily basis.

A skilled boat designer and engineer as well, Jerry W. Burns led as vice president and co-owner of Burns Craft for 20 years. He oversaw the crafting and distribution of numerous houseboats, motor yachts, and cruisers, which the company sent to dealers and independent buyers across the country. Mr. Burns now draws on his business expertise as a semi-retired employee of Bass Pro Shop, where he has achieved recognition as the Callas, Texas, store's Associate of the Year.
