About Me
I am an enthusiastic and seasoned librarian who offers 10 years of experience in library services, with education and training in youth services and a specialty in teen services. I am a librarian that is passionate about young adult literature. I pride myself in successfully promoting literacy among community youth through innovative library programming and outreach services.

- Leads teen services for the main library, including programming for ages 12-18, providing outreach, library tours and presentations/visits to area middle and high schools.
- Work in conjunction with Children's/Teen Collection Development Librarian for acquisition and withdrawal of YA materials. Manages the YA fiction and nonfiction collection.
- Provide both reference and readers' advisory services to teens, interacting with patrons in person, via phone and e-mail.
- Assists library manager with library operations and serve as Librarian in Charge as needed.
- Assists Youth Services Coordinator with planning and selection of prizes for the summer reading program.
- Develops and implement activities for and promote participation in the teen summer reading program
- Develop and implement public relations campaigns of various forms, including coordination with schools and community groups to promote and disseminate information to large groups and teens and their parents.
- Maintain the library's teen Facebook and Instagram accounts
- Teen Volunteer coordinator, schedule and supervise up to 30 teen volunteers at one time
- Redesigned and remodeled the main library’s teen section to better provide a multipurpose teen space and breathe new life into teen involvement in the library.

- Coordinator of the annual JPL Harry Potter Yule Fest.
- Member of the Collaborative Summer Reading Vendor Committee (2020, 2021, 2022) and Vendor Sub-Committee (2022)
- Member of the Collaborative Summer Reading Manual Review Committee (2020, 2021, 2022)
- Member of the JPL Storytime Troupe that does live storytimes during the Parish-wide Christmas lights event.
