I spent one year abroad living with a local family at the age of seventeen. I lived in Gembloux which is a French-speaking city in the province of Namur (about 45 kilometers southeast of Brussels). The studying language was French in all general high school subjects.
Details and Extracurriculars
The experience was an excellent chance to become independent and learn to survive in many different situations. I learned to know myself better but also was lucky to meet a lot of different people and get life-lasting friends from all over the world. Additionally, I became more familiar with diverse cultures and gained more understanding towards different habits.
