A librarian with nearly two decades of experience in the field, Dr. Jeff Luzius recently served as the library director at Air University's Fairchild Research Information Center in Alabama. In this position, he spearheaded orientation and professional development programs, oversaw an $11 million addition and renovation, and served on a SACS review committee offsite. Dr. Jeff Luzius also wrote extensively on topics ranging from library design to circulation for various professional publications.
Prior to joining Air University, Dr. Luzius served as director of libraries at Gadsden State Community College. Previously, he worked at the Ralph Brown Draughon Library belonging to Auburn University where he earned his doctorate and master's degree in higher education administration. He started his library career at the Lurleen B. Wallace Library at Troy State University.
Dr. Luzius also spent seven years serving in the United States Air Force and then received honorable discharge. He holds a master's degree in library and information studies from Florida State University and a bachelor's degree in psychology from Troy University.
In his leisure time, he enjoys playing golf, hiking, and going tent camping.
