Title: Fishing for Disaster: Overfishing in the North Sea. These series of reports and analysis covered the disappearance of cod and other demersal species in the North Sea, and various strategies of NGOs and fishermen’s groups to stem the disappearance of other species.

Title: Political Repression and the Islamicization of Politics in Central Asia. This dissertation explored the relationship between political repression and the spread of Islamist political organizations in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, concluding there was a significant link between dictatorial states and militaristic Islamist parties.
