to July 2019
Established in December 1988 by four leading European schools: ESADE, HEC Paris, Bocconi University and the University of Cologne, the CEMS Alliance designed the first truly European business education through one single Master's in International Management (MIM) degree. Since its launch, CEMS has grown into Global Alliance of 31 leading business schools, over 70 multinational companies and 7 NGOs that together offer the CEMS MIM.
The program is designed to develop a deep understanding of the structure and workings of financial markets and financial institutions. Building on relevant quantitative and IT skills, the students will learn to master state-of-the-art theoretical and empirical models for investment decisions and for the pricing and risk management of stocks, bonds, and derivative securities.
In the International Business programme, the students discover the ins and outs of running international businesses, from the small details to a global perspective.
The programe is taught in the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method, which is an innovative, student-centred instructional method widely used at Maastricht University. Students work in small tutorial groups of no more than 12 students, and collaboratively seek practical solutions to real-world problems. Instructors act as facilitators, giving help as it’s needed. This allows you to build independence and develop research skills.
