Henry got his start in the legal profession in 1997 with the Birmingham law firm of Johnston Barton Proctor & Rose. Licensed to practice in all state and federal courts of both Alabama and Mississippi, he provided representation to a range of physicians/physician practices as well as hospitals, nursing homes, hospice organizations, pharmacies, therapy companies, and home care providers. Johnston Barton Proctor & Rose ultimately promoted James F. Henry to the position of partner.
After parting ways with the firm in 2007, he spent nearly a decade as a partner with the Birmingham offices of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, a national firm that supports comprehensive legal services in dozens of industries and practice areas. Mr. Henry’s activities with the firm centered exclusively on the health care field. Since May of 2016, Mr. Henry has practiced health care law as a partner with Birmingham’s Cabaniss, Johnston, Gardner, Dumas & O'Neal.
