A 1989 zoology graduate of North Carolina State University, J. Michael Puckett, DDS, earned his doctor of dental surgery from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 1993 and, three years later, opened his own private practice in Jamestown, North Carolina. In his first two years of running the practice, J. Michael Puckett, DDS, completed the aesthetic continuum and aesthetic credentialing case study programs at UCLA as well as the one-month clinical occlusion program at the Seattle Institute of Advanced Dental Education.
A member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, J. Michael Puckett, DDS, focuses on esthetics and dental implants and also the use of dental lasers for periodontal therapy and frenal attachment removal. He was given Honorary Doctor of Smile recognition by Azusa Grotto, and in 2003-2004, he was recognized by America's Top Dentists for his work in esthetic restorations and cosmetic dentistry.
Outside of the office, Dr. Puckett regularly attends continuing education courses and volunteers for the North Carolina chapter of Operation Smile, a nonprofit organization that provides surgical care to children born with a cleft lip or palate.
