- liase with police to create the week's police report
- attend council meetings, take notes and create the monthly council report
- conduct interviews both recorded and with written notes
- conduct supporting research and gather relevant statistics
- travel to various locations to take photographs and gather information
- create compelling news articles from gathered information
- occasionally finish work from home in order to make deadlines
