The Manual Testing course included both theoretical and practical aspects:

Software testing basics, principles, exploratory testing;
Bug reporting - life cycle, improvements, severity vs priority, detailed/relevant bug description (Youtrack & Wantsome internal bug tracking tool);
Testing models - STLC and SDLC, V-Model, Waterfall and Agile;
Testing types - Functional and Non-functional, Black-box techniques;
Testing Levels - Component, Integration, System and Acceptance Testing;
Requirements analysis and environment setup - SRS, User Story, Use Case and Traceability Matrix;
Testing Documentation - test plan, test cases (positive & negative);
Test execution and reporting;
Software architecture - client&server architecture, API basics, FTP, Jing and Postman, basic UNIX commands;
Databases - SQL & MySQL Workbench; SELECT, CREATE, UPDATE, DELETE, JOIN between tables
Basic knowledge of test automation: Selenium IDE, Chrome developer tools, API tests using Postman
Mobile testing basics, debug Safari/Chrome using USB connection, Genymotion emulator

Experiences

Participate in launching, testing and auditing programs/projects/applications with global impact;
Identify possible improvement areas and proposing/developing solutions and projects;
Contribute to the standardization of the procedures used for the tasks performed across Amazon nodes;
Handle large amounts of erroneous data, investigate, find the root cause and make the necessary corrections using multiple internal tools;
Responsible for establishing the work allocation within the team and create weekly reports for the work received and work performed;
Create audit checklists and conduct the audit of the processes performed within the team, create monthly reports of the errors identified and the results obtained by each employee; collaborate with the process owners in order to improve the procedures and ensure best practice sharing between teams;
Keep the team updated with any changes that might appear and set up organizational meetings/trainings

Monitor top selling products, ensure that the Amazon website content is accurate and up to date by identifying and correcting the catalog errors, and also improve the existing content of these products (images, product features, technical specifications, product description);
Procure, in a timely manner, from vendors and manufacturers, the necessary documentation for a correct classification and storage of the dangerous goods in the fulfillment centers;
Communicate with vendors and manufacturers over the phone to help ensure a smooth data flow;
Investigate catalog related complaints that come directly from the customers or third party sellers through a ticketing system, and find solutions to resolve the issues in a timely manner;
Mentor new joiners in the team through e-mails, group presentations, and group or individual tutoring;

Managing and meeting deadlines

In my current position I have learned how to prioritize tasks, delegate and be productive especially during periods with huge inflows, and gained a strong experience in dealing with multiple processes at the same time and large amounts of data

I plan my tasks very thoroughly, and thanks to all the challenges I met I became comfortable with taking important decisions or come up with improvement ideas
