    1. Oversee the correct and accurate inputting of items into the point of sale software every time an order is received at 88 Lounge
    1. Ensure that all products received at 88 Lounge have the correct price
    1. Work with accounting to follow up on all unpaid invoices and when necessary, contact clients and ensure payment is made to 88 Lounge
  • Food safety and planning
    1. Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies and local laws.
    1. Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of food preparation and service.
    1. Maintain professional Lounge image, including cleanliness, proper uniform and appearance standards.
    1. Estimate food and beverage costs. Work together with accounting
  • and other heads of department to maintain a steady and consistent cost of goods sold.
    1. Supervise portion control and quantities of preparation to minimize waste.
  • Guest Service
    1. Ensure positive guest service in all areas. Respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
  • Operational Responsibilities
    1. Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.
    1. Manage shifts which include daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness
    1. Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service
  • Personnel
    1. Direct hiring, supervision, development and when necessary termination of employees
    1. Conduct orientation, explain the 88 Lounge philosophy and oversee the training of new employees
    1. Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations and by overseeing the monthly performance reviews
    1. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of the Lounge staffing needs. Prepare schedules and ensure that the Lounge is staffed for all shifts
    1. Maintain an open line of communication with the human resources department and coordinate and communicate all information
    1. Ensure that the human resources are informed of all decisions staff related and that authorization is given by HR when relating to staff hiring, reprimanding and termination
  • Community Involvement
    1. Provide a strong presence in the community and at all times reflect a good image of the 88 Lounge
    1. Attend various events in order to promote the 88 Lounge and to network yourself

    1. Oversee and coordinate the negotiation and booking of artists (DJ’s, live bands, singers...)
    1. Work closely with marketing to promote and advertise all future events
    1. Oversee an effective coordination of event details to all internal departments and ensure they are prepared
