Designing and Implementing a "workable" Management Information System (MIS) for FMB's
A Family managed Aroma chemical business (FMB). I am responsible for 1. Training & Development of key personnel in the business. 2. Logistics Management (planning to execution). 3. Management Information System (MIS) - Design and Implementation.
An SME-FMB (Family Managed Business), manufacturing Rings (for ball bearings). I joined in as Marketing Manager, role primarily being Customer interaction. Changed my role to Procurement - mainly STEEL (70% of RING manufacturing cost is constituted by this raw material). The dynamics of an FMB's management and the outcomes of the strategic choices made by them, was a big learning in this venture.
An FMB (Family Managed Business), I was stationed at Coimbatore for grey fabric development and sourcing. Traversed length and breadth of the region identifying, developing and training weavers to deliver quality products. Supply chain management, along with supplier development was the key to success here.
During my T&D (Training and Development) career phase, one of my passions - TEACHING, got vented by my association with Bushra Institute (a tie-up with Charles Sturt University of Australia) - as a Professor in Marketing Research and General Management. Two batches of students have passed under my teaching.
Rite Choize was a temporary stint, where I worked as a Business Development Manager (EDUCATION) - in charge of establishing "CAT" training classes. The work entailed a thorough analysis (and implementation) of establishing a 'Entrance Test' Training institute. Interaction with principals of Mumbai colleges, location search, finance planning, franchise negotiation and the likes were a part of this venture. A satisfying experience.
Joined the company on Campus placement. As a Deputy Exports Manager (Grey Fabrics), my major role was to "develop" new markets and "service" the existing customers. Developed the FRANCE market and was responsible for servicing Italy, France and UK markets.
