Dr. Hemanth Rao is an experienced neurologist who serves as president and chief executive officer of the Neurological Institute in Charlotte, NC, treating patients and spearheading a range of research and educational initiatives. Since 2013, he has concurrently served as medical director of neurology at the Carolinas ContinueCARE Hospital at Pineville. A recognized authority on the subject of Alzheimer’s disease and other neurological ailments, Hemanth Rao has appeared on multiple local media outlets such as News Saturday Morning on WBTV and Charlotte Talk with Mike Collins on WFAE 90.7.
Over the years, Dr. Rao has served as a clinical researcher on nearly 100 medical studies including double blind and placebo controlled investigations into the safety and efficacy of drugs for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and other serious neurological conditions. He holds active membership in both the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
