Early Life and Education
From a young age, Dr. Alam was drawn to the medical field, a passion that led him to pursue his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Sylhet Mag Osmani Medical College. He delved deeply into medical studies, laying a solid foundation for his future endeavors. After earning his MBBS, he advanced his education at The University of the State of New York, obtaining a Doctor of Medicine (MD).
Professional Life
Dr. Alam is dual board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Neuroradiology, reflecting his deep commitment and expertise in these areas. He completed a fellowship in Neuroradiology and MSK MRI, which further enhanced his proficiency.
In his current role, Dr. Alam serves as the director of Neuroradiology and actively mentors radiology residents, helping to shape the next generation of medical professionals. He also holds a position as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Imaging at NYITT, where his research and publications contribute significantly to the field of radiology.
Dr. Alam practices at Long Island Community Hospital, Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center, and Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, where he applies his skills to improve patient care.
Personal Life and Hobbies
Outside his professional life, Dr. Alam is an avid traveler with a keen interest in exploring historical sites and nature. His travels are fueled by a desire to learn about different cultures and the natural environment, enriching his understanding of the world.
