Gordon Burrows

A longtime resident of Yonkers, Gordon Burrows has had a career spanning public service and the law and focuses on family law and matrimonial litigation in his White Plains, New York, practice. Before establishing his current firm in 2004, Gordon Burrows engaged with Smith, Buss & Jacobs, LLP, as a partner and managed the firm’s Matrimonial Department for eight years.

In the early 1990s, Gordon Burrows worked with Hall Dickler Kent Friedman & Wood, LLP, and handled cases with high-income matrimonial litigation with complex issues spanning child support, custody, and visitation. Mr. Burrows was previously an assistant district attorney with the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office handling Family Court Bureau cases in areas such as paternity, parental rights, and child neglect and abuse.

Gordon Burrows’ government experience includes a position as a county legislator for the 15th District of Westchester County, a position that he accepted following a special election in 2005. Over the past several years, he has held a board leadership role as minority whip. He also spent a decade with the Yonkers City Council and had a majority leader role.
