A philanthropic leader and supporter of the arts in California, Glenn Bucksbaum serves as president of The Baum Foundation. Established in 2003, the foundation was started by Glenn Bucksbaum to support promising projects in the arts, education, and environment.

In addition to providing financial and strategic assistance to arts organizations such as Illuminate the Arts, First Exposures, and Sonoma Jazz, The Baum Foundation has offered its support to education-centered organizations such as Circle of Life, Democracy in Action, and the Aspen Youth Center, among dozens of other nonprofits, to inspire young people to enact positive change in the world. Mr. Bucksbaum is particularly passionate about marine conservation and has worked alongside The Nature Conservancy and Ocean Conservancy.

Mr. Bucksbaum also founded the annual Baum Award for an Emerging American Photographer. The award includes a two-month photography exhibition in San Francisco and a $10,000 cash grant.
