The recipient of a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from India's Gujarat University, Ghusalal Patel moved to the United States in 1964 to attend the University of Missouri, where he earned a master’s degree in civil engineering. The following year, Ghusalal Patel began working as a New York-based consultant for engineering and construction companies. In this role, he specialized in designs of concrete and steel support elements for bridges, industrial plants, and high-rise buildings.
In 1974, Ghusalal Patel earned the title of senior engineer and began supervising draftsmen, designers, and engineers in drafting pre-construction drawings. Upon completing the drawings and putting out a call for contractors, he was responsible for analyzing bids and performing feasibility studies. Throughout the course of his 30-year career in the field, he accumulated extensive experience in crane placement.
A registered professional engineer in the states of New Jersey and New York, Mr. Patel returned to school in 1978 and, two years later, completed a master’s degree in management from Polytechnic Institute of New York. Beyond engineering, he is interested in real estate.
